My experience bidding with dealcent
This is what happened when i played on dealcent.com a few weeks ago…
At first i didn’t know where to play, i saw ads on tv for quibids and beezid but after coming across dealcent it caught my attention the most so i decided to give it a shot.
Being my first time using a penny auction site, there were a few things that really confused me. I was pretty dumbfounded in the beginning thinking it cost 1 cent per bid. Turns out its 50 cents per bid and when the timer ends on 0 seconds, you win if you bid last.
I messaged dealcent support and had a reply in literally 4 minutes! They really helped me understand how the site worked and answered all my dumb questions.
The first few auctions i lost, by not bidding enough and paying close attention to the auction itself. I added a $90 bid pack and set my sights on the iphone 4 auction… Had a pretty long bidding war with another user but he stopped bidding, i guess because he ran out of bids :) And thats how i won my first auction online!
After depositing $142 (52+90) the iphone was mine, i saved a total of 688.74
My advice to anyone whos looking for some tips is to watch the last sold price, when your auction comes around the same price start bidding. Then just keep a close eye on your product.. Make sure you have enough bids in your account to cover the auction if it goes longer than expected (this happened to me, where i ran out of bids and this other person won the auction)
They really came through on their promise to provide free international shipping :) After i won, my product was shipped and i had my tracking number from them. It would have arrived in 48 hours but there was a huge storm, causing it to be delayed by one day. But obviously that’s not their fault haha!
I will continue to play with dealcent, if i run into anything i will post it here..
